About Therapy

Therapy provides the tools to set healthier boundaries, manage stress, and prioritize your wellbeing without sacrificing career success. Together, we'll create a balance that aligns with your values and goals, ensuring you can thrive both at work and at home.

Overfunctioning is a pattern where you take on more than your share — emotionally, practically, and relationally — often at the expense of yourself. It can look like always being the responsible one, struggling to say no, feeling like everything falls apart if you don't manage it, or tying your worth to how much you do. If reading that feels familiar, we should talk.

It's extremely common to feel unfulfilled even when succeeding professionally — especially for high-achieving, overfunctioning adults. External success and internal wellbeing aren't always aligned. Therapy can help you explore what's missing, whether it's personal fulfillment, emotional wellbeing, or a deeper connection to your purpose. Together, we'll create a roadmap for greater satisfaction and clarity.

Anxiety & Perfectionism

Absolutely. The pressure to perform can be intense. Therapy helps you recognize where you're putting unnecessary pressure on yourself and teaches strategies to manage it more effectively. It's about working smarter, not harder — and feeling more in control of your life.

Perfectionism often leads to burnout and a constant feeling of inadequacy. Together, we'll work on shifting your mindset, challenging perfectionist thoughts, and embracing progress over perfection. You deserve to show up as your authentic self without constantly striving for an unattainable ideal.

Yes. I'm trained in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) — one of the most evidence-based treatments for OCD and anxiety. ERP helps you gradually face the thoughts and situations that trigger anxiety, without relying on compulsive behaviors or avoidance. It's hard work, but it's effective.

Life Transitions

Career transitions can be stressful, but they also present an opportunity for growth. Therapy can help you manage uncertainty, explore your values, and develop strategies to move forward with clarity and confidence. We'll build your resilience so you can navigate this new chapter successfully.

Absolutely. Balancing work and personal relationships can feel like a constant juggling act. Therapy provides a space to address relationship concerns while also giving you tools to manage your career pressures. Together, we'll work on strengthening your relationships, improving communication, and ensuring you have the emotional support you need while achieving your professional goals.

Perinatal & Family

Yes — this is one of my core specialties. As a Certified Perinatal Mental Health Specialist (PMH-C), I provide evidence-based support for fertility struggles, pregnancy, postpartum anxiety and depression, and the transitions into parenthood. You'll have a safe, non-judgmental space to process your emotions and take care of yourself during these major life changes.

Absolutely — and it's far more common than parents realize. The transition to parenthood, especially for high-achieving adults, can trigger a deep identity shift that isn't always talked about openly. We'll work on rediscovering who you are as an individual, not just as a parent, while building the emotional tools to show up fully in both roles.

Logistics & Insurance

Yes. I accept Aetna, CDPHP, Excellus BCBS, Fidelis, Optum, Oscar, Oxford, UHC, Carelon, Cigna, and Anthem. For plans not listed, I provide superbills you can submit for out-of-network reimbursement. Without insurance, individual therapy sessions are $150 for 50 minutes.

All sessions are conducted via secure, HIPAA-compliant video. Research consistently shows that telehealth therapy is as effective as in-person therapy for most conditions — including anxiety, depression, and burnout. It also has real advantages: no commute, more flexibility, and the ability to attend from wherever you feel most comfortable. I serve clients across all of New York State.

The free 15-minute consultation is a relaxed, no-pressure conversation. We'll briefly discuss what's bringing you to therapy, what you're hoping to work on, and I'll explain my approach so you can decide if it feels like a good fit. There's zero obligation — if it doesn't feel right, I'll do my best to point you toward someone who might be a better match.

It depends entirely on your goals and what we're working on together. Some clients come for a focused period of 8–12 sessions around a specific challenge. Others find ongoing monthly or bi-weekly sessions valuable for longer-term growth. We'll check in regularly and adjust based on what's working for you.
